Framework’s Residential Rehabilitation
Service offers a comprehensive supported accommodation service for 20 residents
in four houses, three in Kingsland and one in Massey. Staff support is provided
24 hours a day including an ‘on-call’ system to deal with any incidents or
emergencies outside normal office hours. Referral is via mental health clinical
teams at Waitemata District Health Board and Auckland District Health Board. We
have no residential rehabilitation service in Counties Manukau.
Residential Rehabilitation provides an
innovative recovery and interventions service using strength and rehabilitation
models. These interventions are designed to empower residents to identify their
individual needs and goals and to support them to achieve a quality of living
that maximises their potential, their self-development and their independence
in order to integrate into community living. Staff and residents work together
in partnership with the clinical teams, the Framework Personal Focus programme,
and appropriate cultural services to develop and implement achievable goals,
which are reflected in an individualised personal plan. Residential
Rehabilitation has an 80 percent success rate with eight out of 10 residents
returning to independent living in the community.
