Casual Residential Support Workers

$15.90 per hour
(Depending on qualifications and/or experience)

To work between both Residential services -Massey and Kingsland

The successful applicants will provide a specialist service supporting clients in their recovery, with a view to achieving independent living and promoting quality of life. You will improve wellness and recovery through an individualized pathway built on assessments, goals and personal development.

You will assist clients in improving knowledge of their own mental health and taking responsibility in managing their symptoms. Identifying early warning signs and medication issues is a vital part of this role.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in mental health support work or related health field
• Certificate in Mental health or an appropriate qualification
• Knowledge and experience of needs assessment/goal setting or equivalent
• Knowledge of community resources and ability to network
• A commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally safe practice
• Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Meets Framework's Competencies
• A current full clean drivers licence
