The
successful applicant will assist individuals to set and meet goals to
promote independent living, while developing innovative ways of working
with clients and their families. You will provide one-on-one
community support to individuals experiencing mental ill health by
promoting and encouraging their independence, cultural, social, and
economic environment. Our services are located/delivered in
Central/South Auckland and Waiheke Island. .
Essential criteria:
- Gathering and analysing information
- Excellent decision making skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional people skills and ability to network
- A commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally safe practice
- Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- A current clean Full Drivers Licence
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Desirable criteria:
- Mental Health Certificate
- Tertiary qualification-certificate level or higher
- Knowledge and experience of needs assessment and goal setting or equivalent
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to network
